One of the things I’ve always loved about composing is the chance to move between completely different musical worlds. Good Egg was a great example of that. As a romantic comedy, the film required a much lighter and more tender musical language than many of the darker projects I’ve worked on. The goal was to create a score that could support the warmth, awkwardness, and emotional honesty that sits at the center of the story.
Working closely with the director, we shaped a musical palette that felt intimate and playful, allowing the music to gently support the characters rather than push the comedy too hard. The score leans into softer melodic ideas and warmer orchestral textures, creating a world that feels hopeful and human while still giving the film its own distinct personality.
